Final Project


For your Final Examination:

You will make a research paper or case study in the following topics.  Choose (1) only.  Form a group of 5 for your research.  Your research paper is 50% of your final examination.

1. Gender Equality
2. Philippine Education
3. Globalization
4. Cultural changes
5. Social Problems

The format of the final paper is given below.  The research should be less than 15 pages only.  The other 50% of the paper is a SKYPE defense with me.  I will give you the time schedule once you have submitted the final paper.

You will work on this in the library in the following dates : October 5, 7, 9, 12.





Schedule of Activities and Outputs

Sept 3, 5 - No meeting in the classroom.  You should review for your other subjects.  Don't forget to post your permit for your grade.


Sept 7, 9, 11  Group Oral Discussion.  The following students will only come to class to discuss Gender and Development.  You will videotape your discussion and download it in the fb group.  Non-appearance in the video and discussion will me mark absent and zero.  You will me acting the following key persons in the discussion:

Suggestion: Use Monday and Wednesday for Planning and Practice.  Final videotaping on Friday.

The output of the group is to resolve the existing discrimination towards Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transgenders.

For students who will not attend the class, you will prepare the Output 1 - Reflection in Gender and Development following the format below..

September: 14, 16, 18 Discussion on Globalization and Education.  The following students will report to the classroom for the discussion and planning.

In this activity, you will be acting the following personalities: to discuss the present issues in the ASEAN - territorial dispute, economic stability, and terrorism.

For students who will not attend the class: Your output is a video presentation about ASEAN Integration.  Focus on how prepared the Philippines in the Integration.  You can work with 5 students of your choice.  Limit it to 3-5 minutes only.

Sept. 21, 23, 25 - Discussion on Education in the new social Milieu.  The following students will come and report to class.

For students who will not attend the class: Your output is to make a slogan or drawing on how competitive our EDUCATION AND TRAINING to the world.

September 28, 30, Oct 2 - Discussion on Education for Sustainable Development.  The following students will come and report to class.

Your task is to act as DEANS of the Premiere Universities in the Philippines to discuss Education for sustainable development.  Your output is make a proposal for the President to make PHILIPPINE EDUCATION responsive to global trends and challenges.
